Aged in new, charred American oak barrels, our Sonoma Rye Whiskey and Sonoma Rye Cask Strength Whiskey both feature hints of vanilla, allspice and white pepper. Whereas our Cherrywood Rye fills the glass with notes of California Cherrywood smoked malted Barley– locally smoked especially for our whiskeys. These Rye Whiskeys are the result of the hard work of our intelligent, dedicated team who proudly ignore modern trends in the pursuit of a new legacy steeped in the old ways here at Sonoma County Distilling Company.
SONOMA RYE WHISKEY
Our signature whiskey, this rye is made the way it was meant to be, by using an exclusively rye mash and distilled twice in traditional copper pot stills over a direct fire. Aged in new, charred American oak barrels for no less than one year, no additional grains distort this pure rye profile. Notes of vanilla, allspice, walnut, dried apricot and white pepper abound. This is true rye whiskey.
SONOMA RYE CASK WHISKEY
This cask strength version of our most popular rye retains its pure rye profile without the addition of spring water or proofing. Double-distilled in traditional copper pots stills over a direct-fire, then placed in new, charred American oak barrels, this whiskey is aged for no less than one year and blended with whiskeys up to two years.
CHERRYWOOD RYE WHISKEY
Made with a base of rye grain, and complemented by wheat and a hint of California Cherrywood-smoked barley, this inventive spirit is meant for those who seek out the flavors of a classic Manhattan cocktail in a distilled spirit. Aged in new American oak barrels for no less than one year, the blend is rounded out with notes of dried figs, toasted almonds, brandied cherries and new leather. This is Cherrywood rye whiskey.
